A workday as a Sales and Business Support Professional
Never looks the same. Ten to eight in the morning you start up your laptop and see which engineer can support you by preparing a quote or comparing prices for the requested products. This is followed by a customer visit, in between you keep an eye on the incoming emails. You come across an email from a customer who thanks you for thinking along and linking the customer request to our services. Always nice a compliment!
Then you are curious whether the ordered products are already on their way to the Caribbean. You contact the supplier to see if the delivery has already been send and ask when you can expect the delivery. Then you contact the customer directly to provide feedback on the information you received.
After lunch it is time for you to pay close attention to the purchasing policy and tighten it up where possible. You can look at new products on the market that are interesting for our organization or how you can save more costs by applying different purchasing strategies. You keep a good record of the purchasing activities for every customer by means of a file.
Then, after creating a sales plan, which is based on market research, you look for new customers to be able to sell our services. You ask the right questions and you know how to translate our services to the customer. You dive into the customer’s situation and look at the problem that the customer is experiencing or at the innovation we can offer. The trick is to convince the customer that we are the solution.
At the end of the day, you will reach out to existing customers and work on the customer relationship. Time to go home!
What are we expecting from you?
- mbo+ work and level of thinking;
- Knowledge and experience with purchasing and sales processes in business services
- To be aware of the latest Microsoft techniques and to know and understand these techniques;
- Living on Aruba, Bonaire & Curaçao and in possession of a work permit if necessary;
- Good command of the Dutch and English language in speech and writing, Papiamento is a plus;
- You are commercial, customer-oriented and you are a star in networking;
- You know how to convince someone, you take initiative and you are result-oriented;
- You have a high sense of responsibility and are able to work independently, you see it as a challenge to translate our services into customer demand.
